This is achieved by developing women’s capabilities to expand their employment options, increasing their participation in the workforce, and ensuring equal opportunities for women in all sectors, including the private sector, entrepreneurship, and leadership roles in public institutions and companies.
3. Protection of Women:
This involves eliminating negative phenomena that threaten their lives, safety, and dignity, and hinder their active participation in all fields. This includes all forms of violence against women and protecting them from social or economic risks that may negatively impact them.
4. Awareness of Women’s Rights:
Conducting awareness campaigns for women, educating them about supportive laws, providing a clear and comprehensive definition of violence against women, and advocating for the rights that must be enforced to eliminate all forms of violence against women.

2- Suez Canal Bank Exhibition
(Participation of 25 women) As part of the #AlMasry Foundation’s initiative to support the economic empowerment of women and its commitment to backing and encouraging handicraft industries and their creators, the foundation participated in an exhibition organized by the Suez Canal Bank in celebration of International Women’s Day and Mother’s Day. The exhibition featured dozens of handmade products famous across various Egyptian governorates, crafted by women. These included Mother’s Day gifts, crochet products, accessories, decorative items, leather goods, textiles, home essentials, and many other artistic handmade products showcasing women’s creativity.
3- First Medical Caravan on 22/1/2024 in Dar Al-Salam District
In line with the foundation’s belief in human rights, particularly women’s rights as a key to quality of life and societal development, the AlMasry Foundation participated in an awareness seminar organized by the National Council for Women – Cairo Branch in Dar Al-Salam District under the title ‘Combating Violence Against Women’ on 22/1/2024. The seminar was initiated by the National Council for Women (Cairo Branch) led by Ms. Maha Marwan, Secretary of the Cairo Branch, and Dr. Om Kolthoum, Deputy Secretary of the Cairo Branch, in collaboration with the AlMasry Foundation. The seminar aimed to raise awareness among women about their crucial role and to reject any form of violence. Discussions included types and patterns of violence against women, ways to protect themselves, and the entities responsible for protecting women. Ms. Moshira Zeidan, the foundation’s women’s support officer, emphasized the importance of providing women with information about their rights and support mechanisms. Nearly 50 women from Dar Al-Salam District attended the seminar, expressing their happiness and gratitude for the support and empowerment provided by the National Council for Women and the AlMasry Foundation.
4- Second Medical Caravan on 17/2/2024 at Nahdet Watan Association in Dar Al-Salam
In collaboration with the National Council for Women – Cairo Branch, #AlMasry_Foundation participated in a medical caravan to ensure better health for all members of the community. The caravan, organized on Friday, 17/2/2024, at Nahdet Watan Association in Dar Al-Salam, included multiple specialties such as (Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Gynecology and Obstetrics, and Orthopedics). It also featured a number of volunteer consultant doctors, including Dr. Om Kolthoum Shelsh (Gynecology and Obstetrics Consultant), Dr. Mostafa Bassiouni (Internal Medicine Consultant), Dr. Mohamed Yasser (Orthopedics Consultant), and Dr. Zeinab El-Shamasharji (Pediatrics Consultant). The caravan provided medical examinations for 250 women, as well as some fathers and children, ensuring their health and providing appropriate medications supplied by the AlMasry Foundation.

7- Economic Empowerment for Women at Al-Athar Al-Tayeb Association
(Participation of 55 women).
8- In-kind Gifts from Suez Canal Bank to Celebrate the Release of Indebted Women from Prisons After Donations to Relieve Their Burdens
(Participation of 26 women). As part of the Suez Canal Bank’s social responsibility and its commitment to enhancing its active role in community development and service, the bank signed a cooperation protocol with the AlMasry Foundation for Development and Education. The bank donated to relieve the burdens of 26 indebted women, aiming to assist women unable to repay their debts in the most needy areas. The bank also distributed gifts to the women upon their release to bring joy to their hearts and provide psychological support as they returned to their families. Mr. Akef El-Maghraby, CEO and Managing Director of the Suez Canal Bank, emphasized that the bank’s participation in such initiatives reflects its belief in the importance of collaboration among civil society institutions and the private sector to promote social solidarity and support the most vulnerable groups.

10- Assisting 21 Women to Overcome Illiteracy
(Participation of 21 women) On 31/10/2024, #AlMasry_Foundation, in collaboration with: – The Directorate of Social Solidarity in Gharbia – The Social Solidarity Administration in Zifta – The Youth and Sports Administration in Zifta – The Zifta Literacy Administration, conducted literacy tests for 21 illiterate individuals (men and women) under the Social Solidarity Administration in Zifta and neighboring villages. This initiative enables them to obtain literacy certificates, which will facilitate their lives and allow them to pursue various professions.
11- Awareness Campaigns for Women on the Risks of Indebtedness
(6000 women). Women and girls in Gharbia Governorate, Zifta Center, attended #AlMasry_Caravans to support and relieve indebted women and raise awareness about the risks of falling into debt. #AlMasry_Foundation works to relieve the burdens of indebted individuals, educate them about the legal consequences of debt, and then economically empower them to start a new phase of improving their living standards and avoiding debt again.
13- Distribution of 100 School Bags to Widows in Dakahlia to Help Their Children Continue Education
(100 widows). The goal of AlMasry Foundation is not only to reward and honor outstanding students in Dakahlia Governorate but also to bring joy to these children. 17- Economic Empowerment in Sidi Abdel Rahman on 16/1/2023
From within the economic empowerment workshops at the Vocational Training Center affiliated with the Ministry of Social Solidarity in Sidi Abdel Rahman, New Alamein, Matrouh Governorate, which were prepared and equipped with the latest tools, equipment, and materials by AlMasry Foundation for Development and Education. The foundation is striving to obtain approval from the Ministry of Social Solidarity to manage the Vocational Training Center in Sidi Abdel Rahman. The purpose of establishing this center with its various workshops is to qualify, train, and employ the residents of Sidi Abdel Rahman Village, Matrouh Governorate (men and women), and to master craft professions, aiming to improve the living standards of the village residents and achieve economic empowerment for them and their families.
18- Capable Youth Initiative on 17/2/2024
AlMasry Foundation participated in the ‘Entrepreneurship and Digital Transformation’ forum organized by the Capable Youth Foundation in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports under the patronage of His Excellency Minister Dr. Ashraf Sobhy. The forum discussed enhancing the role of entrepreneurship, the evolution of digital transformation, business incubators for startups, and their relationship with institutional work. It also focused on developing the capacities of youth and women to contribute to supporting and developing the economy and the Egyptian state. During our participation in the dialogue session titled ‘Entrepreneurship and Digital Transformation,’ Ms. Moshira Zeidan, Project Director at AlMasry Foundation, emphasized the importance of selecting and determining entrepreneurial projects based on community needs, developing their ideas in entrepreneurship to build their capacities in using digital transformation, and how to adapt technology to their projects. She also noted that tailoring entrepreneurial projects to different regions, such as agricultural areas, where agricultural projects are more suitable, provides better opportunities for the success and sustainability of the project due to the availability of necessary factors and resources. A cooperation protocol was signed between AlMasry Foundation and Capable Youth Foundation in shared areas such as technology, digital transformation, and mobilizing youth in various activities across different governorates of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

20- Activating the Cooperation Protocol Between AlMasry Foundation for Development and Education and Thawab Foundation for Development in Aswan
The foundation conducted a training workshop on the following topics: – Life skills – Psychological support, with the participation of 449 Sudanese refugee women across more than 5 training halls, both morning and evening. The average number of trainees per hall was 15, aiming to increase refugees’ awareness of the skills and creativity required by the labor market and how to deal with the difficulties and challenges they face.
